In 2019, June 6th is a thursday, so the huge part of the events and ceremonies will be during the weekend of the 8th and 9th june 2019.

Camp géronimo 2019 From june 1st to june 9th: “Geronimo” reconstruction camp. Open from 9 a.m. to 22p.m. every day. Camp featuring US airborne troops in Normandy Many activities on site: Comments around a “sand table”: relief model on which the officers establish their military strategy. Medical evacuation station (wounded support, diagnosis, surgical operations) Demonstration of the equipment of the American parachutists as well as glidermen (soldiers transported by glider) Presentation of an air defense unit : anti-aircraft armored vehicles (M16) and searchlights Dynamic demonstration of American heavy vehicles of military engi neers (GMC Leroy, Broakway and Pacific) Mechanical workshop of vehicles Presentation of a Red Ball Express unit : Freight transport route to combat units Commented exhibition of demolition and demining equipment Contact : Airborne museum : 0033 233 41 41 35
